I'm Stephen Haas and I live in Negaunee with my wife Marie. I am a retired Michigan State Trooper having retired from the Negaunee Post. I have lived in the U.P. (Negaunee) since 1981, having transferred here from Ypsilanti (Ann Arbor). I originally hail from the Kalamazoo Area. Upon my retirement in '94, I made the easy decision to remain in the U.P. The biggest reason? The people! Although not a native "Yooper," I do proudly proclaim that moniker.

I will be a full service auction company capable of estate, farm, industrial and real estate auctions. In a specialty auction, I will research and market to entities that will be most interested in your possessions. In a general estate auction, I will do much the same thing for certain items that you are including; this could be, for example, a particular antique or a collector item, or a specific car or boat. I guess what I am saying is that I will do my level best to make your auction a successful event.

Regarding auctions, I understand that there can be a variety of reasons for having one. For some, it's simply a matter of ridding ones self of material items and moving on.

For others, it can be a very trying and emotional decision. I completely understand. Parting with your possessions is a big decision. Parting (disposing) of those things that were once those of a loved one can elicit a range of emotions. It brings about a lot of memories and you can wonder if you have made the right decision. Everything else is just material items. If I may, "Let the material things go. Keep and cherish the memories."
